How much to haul away a refrigerator or washer?+
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, and stoves are $79.75 each. Dryers, dishwashers, microwaves, and wall ovens are $58.75 each. These are pass-through recycling fees from Contra Costa Waste — no markup.
Do you recycle appliances or just dump them?+
Recycle. Refrigerant appliances go to a certified processor for freon capture, then metal recycling. Anything with usable life left is always donated or re-homed as our first option.
Do I need to disconnect the appliance first?+
Not usually. We disconnect and pull water lines, gas lines (if you shut off the valve), and power cords on-site. We just ask that gas lines have the shutoff turned off before we arrive.
Do you take TVs and electronics?+
Yes — TVs and monitors of any size are $58.75 each. They go to a certified e-waste recycler, not the dump. See our e-waste line on the pricing page.
Can you take out an old water heater?+
Yes. Water heaters and other oversized items (piano, treadmill, hot tub) are quoted on-site based on access and size.
